Lane Restrictions Sunday Night on SB I-83 in York County
Bridge deck repairs planned between Exits 19 and 22
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there will be lane restrictions Sunday night on southbound Interstate 83 between Exit 19 (Route 462/Market Street) and Exit 22 (Route 181/N. George Street) in York County so a contractor can perform bridge deck repairs on structures spanning Codorus Creek and Loucks Mill Road
Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 9:00 PM Sunday, October 29, to 6:00 AM Monday, October 30. This work began this week and will continue for three-to-five nights, weather permitting.
The contractor is expected to finish work in the northbound direction tonight, then move to the southbound direction Sunday night.
A single lane restriction will be in place on I-83 during work hours. Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone,

This work is associated with a project that includes replacing the Eberts Lane bridge spanning I-83, constructing an additional span to the existing 3-lane, 2-span bridge on Sherman Street (Route 1033) spanning I-83 and Mill Creek, approach work, guide rail updates, pavement marking updates, and other miscellaneous construction
Deblin, Inc, of Mechanicsburg, PA, is the contractor on this $10,117,734 project.
